 How much does it cost for an Artist or Fan Account on Rictascale.com?

Artist and Fan Accounts on Rictascale.com are FREE.

I'm signed to an independent record label, can I still join?

Yes you can still join. Rictascale.com is a community showcase for Unsigned and Independent Artists.

How do I login to Rictascale.com?

You can login to Rictascale.com by entering the artist collaboration and showcase area. On the right hand side you will see a login zone. Enter your username and password, and press enter or click the login button.

I lost/forgot my password Rictascale.com. What do I do?

If you enter an incorrect username or password and login, our webmaster will ask for you to enter the email address you use for corresponace with Rictascale.com. Once you submit your email address, wait a few moments then check it. Our webmaster will send you a new password, which you can then change inside your account. Once your signed in again you will notice in the top right hand the control panel icons. Click on profile and change your password.

I made a mistake while registering for my Artist Account. Can I register again with the same email address?

No, you can only have one account per email address. But don't worry! Complete the registration process and check your email for your account confirmation. Once logged in to your account, you can edit your profile and manage your content as much as you want.

I'm not receiving emails from Rictascale.com. Why not?

If you're not receiving emails from Rictascale.com,  it may be they way your profile is set up. Sign in to your Rictascale.com account and note the control panel icons on the top section. Click on profile. Here you can see if your Email Notification service is marked with a tick. However this may also be due to your email security settings. On sites such as Hotmail, certain settings require you to add Rictascale.com to your Allow list. 

What types of songs can I upload to my Rictascale.com profile?

Artists can upload songs in standard MP3 format. Songs must be less than 8Mb.

What are the recommended encoding settings for my songs?

All songs are recommended to be encoded with a bitrate of 128kbps and a frequency of 44kHz stereo.

Why are my songs playing too fast/slow?

Songs that play too fast/slow are generally due to unusual encoding settings. Try re-encoding problematic MP3s with the recommended encoding settings (see above) and then re-upload them.

Why do my songs load but don't play?

Songs that load but don't play are encoded with unsupported compressions. Try re-encoding problematic MP3s with the recommended encoding settings (see above) and then re-upload them.

How do I transfer MP3s from a CD and/or another file format?

Try using Apple's iTunes for Mac or Windows Media Player for Windows. If not, do a search on Google for "MP3 conversion" to find another program.

Are there accounts for record labels on Rictascale.com?

For the moment, labels, radio stations and producers can create a regular Artist Account on Rictascale.com.
